Today was our last day in Southern California. I hate the going home part.
We had scheduled to go to the tidepools today, but that would mean getting up at 5am to hit the low tide. We decided that we were on vacation and didn’t want to do that.
So we spent the whole day at the beach. We all have some sunburn to show for it, but it was a perfect day. This was the first time this trip that the shovel came out; Xander built a fort with a moat and a hot tub, with some help. Anastasia read her Christy Miller book between dips in the ocean.
“To myself I am only a child playing on the beach, while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me.” - Isaac Newton
