I have been at flipping City Target every flipping day this week.  I hate their selection, I hate the security guards everywhere, and I hate how the shoppers appear to be sleepwalking, but I do like the proximity to be able to grab a few needed items and the $5 off coupons that seem to keep spitting out with my receipt.

This sign on the door caught my attention.  I think Greg is the sweet older Filipino man who is working like crazy to get the prior Long's restaurant reopened as Ludi's.  Bring on the purple ube pancakes!

We had dinner with Max and Vanessa, they introduced us to a new and wonderful taco shack.  Vanessa was sweet, bringing me a notecard she knew I would enjoy more than her.  Aw!

Disrupted Monday routine, opportunity to go shopping.  Backpack full of groceries, we can eat again for another week.  We were completely out of broth, which is impossible for me to cook without.

Yep, the oven is not working.  Set for 350 degrees, only heating to 250 degrees.  No wonder the last three thigns I baked tastes kinda raw.  Good thing all we have to do is put in a maintenance request.  Perk of renting.

Our team was a little drab compared to all the custumes today downtown, but we had just as much fun running around downtown chasing virtual characters from Alice in Wonderland.  We had riddles and quizzes and questions to answer on the blocks surrounding the library.

Western Timberlands took a well deserved day away from the office to laugh and visit with each other in a relaxed setting.  My team won one of the games, stacking solo cups without touching them.

Harbor Cruise with Deloitte and Weyerhaueser on a perfect afternoon.  Made the rounds to hang out with Allie, Aaron, Michael, and Michelle from my team, Berndt and Brian and Aimee from WY IT, and Sid and Ankit from Deloitte.

"I think they are trying to be too fancy." - Joan

We ordered “Kraken” fritti, chili, lemon aioli and were surprised to get onion rings, deep fried baby octopus’, and lemon flavored mayo.

Oops, neither of us want to eat octopus.  And double oops, Joan got brave and ate the most octopus looking octopus before I thought to take a photo.

But the company and drinks were good!

Work from home still life.

The mug that brings much needed coffee in the morning, and tea later in the day.  And the headset that is so busy that it often tells me the charge is low.

Days with less than 6 hours of meetings feel like bliss.  Meetings outside of core work hours are becoming more and more routine.

Groceries arrived from Imperfect Produce.

New labels arrived from Etsy.  Looking forward to moving the labels around instead of the bins or food, to keep things well rotated.

Looks like I need to stop buying freezer food though!

Another Monday afternoon routine of walkign to Lake Union and dinner at a vegan friendly restaurant.  What a lovely late summer evening!

The weird angles of Thompson hotel were a topic of conversation tonight.  And Viktoria, home base, is peeking behind that building.

Can you find me at church?

Another 9/11 anniversary.  Sobering that most of the people at church were too young to remember the events of 9/11.  For them it is just history, for us we remember exactly where we were when we heard the news.

And time keeps marching on...

Anastasia's 26th birthday, but just a quiet day for us.  A day of foiled outings.

This photo is taken at Katie Black's Garden, a Japenese garden that I read about and wanted to visit.  Except the city is no longer maintaining it so it is more sad than a stroll.

And Bruce needs more paperwork to get his Costco membership for work.

And we knocked at the wrong door at Fetch to collect a wayward package.

And we were there too early for lunch as planned.

And a work related locked door emergency fizzled to nonsense.

The restuarant we found didn't open until noon and was take out only.

Taco Time was take out only.

Traffic is a snarl.  The air is thick with nearby forest fire smoke.

The Thai restuarant was closed for the weekend.

Go home already!

Glad that life is still full of blessings even on frustrating days.

Hello beachy waves!  Rose can get my hair bent in different ways than I ever can.  Wednesdays can be harried to get to the salon, but always a nice respite once I get there.

Labor Day.  PAX day for the guys.  We waited for Jacob at Westlake Park, with the tables all set up nice for another promised day of busy city enjoyment.

And my completed bingo card, I ended up with one more book than last year after reading all day...

Newer mural downtown.  The new ones don't have any graffiti yet, although I am impressed that they normally don't deface art as often as blank walls.

Love this photo of everday life.  Love our local cutting boards, our blue rustic dishes, and our plastic squirrel paddles.  Don't love the constant dirty dishes as much...
