Signed new rental agreement at Starbucks this evening.  This is sometimes how we spend our Valentines Day, holiday weekends, and Friday nights.  And we always get the calls that folks are moving out while we are on trips.  This time, when we were up in Seattle.  But this time it is super easy, because their relatives want to move in, and they are actually strong applicants!  TGIF!

This afternoon we took a break from integration work to walk around the 8th floor.  There is a nice deck, but also a walking path all along the building with spectacular views.

Tonight we walked over to a Sounders soccer game.

The fans are crazy, standing, bouncing, and chanting the entire time.

My favorite chant was:
I'm a Sounder
I’m a Sounder, I’m seldom sober
I’m a Sounder, all blue and green
Its when I’m drinking,
I’m always drinking,
To a Sounders victory!

No one likes us, No one likes us!
No one likes us, we don't care!
We are Sounders,
Mighty Sounders,
We are Sounders, from Brougham End!

Hello, Corporate Headquarters.

We got up early for an operations meeting, caught the train, arrived at lunchtime, and got to explore the building and Pioneer Square a bit.

Love it all, including our funky vintage hotel.

Susan and I walked the lake this evening, as we get ready to head to Seattle.  It was warm out, so we stopped to rest on a bench.

Bruce wanted to spend Father's Day solo on a longer river trip.

So I played support staff, shuttling vehicles between boat launches.

Nice day!

I love visiting the lake, but sure wouldn't want to live there. There have been so many homeless people there lately, and not just early in the morning.

A considerable share of the world's population still cannot afford comfortable housing, education and quality health care.” - Vladimir Putin

Hotel Monticello, in cake form!

The updated ballroom was unveiled with a city wide worship night.  Didn't stay long, it was crowded and still strong paint smell, but it was fun to see.

The original hotel dedication in 1932 included a hymn, an address by RA Long, and squab and asparagus tips on the menu.

I've been seeing people walk up really close to a tree and take a photo.  Here's my version of a tree close-up.

Home but not really ever home.

Not even called Anastasia anymore, Stasia seems to have won out.

Bruce wants to kayak on the Cowlitz, so he did a short trip today.  I was in charge of moving the pick-up along the route for the pick up.

Traveled further for our morning coffee date today.  Went to Vault Books in Castle Rock in hopes of scoring a book for the blind date book club.  But no luck, they go fast!  Maybe God knows I don't have time for another commitment right now.  Regardless, it is  a fun place to grab a coffee and hang out.  Even found a childrens book for Shoebox Ministries!

Lake bench, #4 in series.  There are a lot of benches around the lake, but this one, which we call Don Berg, is the closest to our house.  It is a sweet sight each morning as it signifies the end of another peaceful jog.
