I was trying to capture how big and pretty the moon was this morning, hours after the eclipse and blood moon.  My phone camera doesn't excel at scenery shots.  I thought the car driving by is kind of entertaining though! #EARLYMORNINGRUN

The three of us drove up to Seattle today to attend the Freshman Convocation and President's Picnic.  Both were very nice, it was fun seeing Anastasia's dorm room, and the day brought back lots of campus memories!

Xander's bedroom is getting a facelift.  We expected a new paint color and new flooring.  We didn't expect new wall rehab & texturing.  But in removing the wallpaper boarder, the light blue wall starting chipping off, and surprise!  Gaudy wallpaper underneath.

After a grueling week, escaped work early to watch Xander play.  He won, he's now 3 wins and 3 losses for the season.

She's off!  Move in was a long experience, but she and Bruce survived.

Bruce and Anastasia head up to UW tomorrow.  Bruce dug out his photos from McMahon hall, he wants to see how much things have changed in 25 years.

Another poor quality photo.  I walked to the community college this evening, and it was busy with classes starting up today, but didn't snap any photos.  So Xander and I were just messing around at home.

Bruce chose lunch, Anastasia chose dinner.  We start another series of lasts.  Out last meal out with all four of us in Longview for awhile.  I really hate the lasts...

Long driving day.  Lunch with the Fischer clan, dinner with the Dittman clan.  Brought Anastasia home for a few more days until she moves into the dorms.  Life keeps changing, hard to be flexible.  God is in control, we stink at it.

Civil war game this evening, I can hear the band and the cheering crowd from here.

Drove up to Chehalis to get Xander at his tennis meet to get him back in town in time to get painted up for the game.

He won his game.  :)

A trip to Lowe's to pick out materials for our next house project.  I'm decided on Lemon Tint on the walls and Willow Lake Pine on the floor.  Light and happy.

Walking solo tonight, so made sure I went early before dusk.  The sky was still dark.  Then the raindrops started...

Is this week over yet?  I'm tried, cold, and ready to find out where Anastasia will be living !

Walking the lake in the dark, my evening got away from me.  Worked late, real estate meeting, chat with Anastasia, then walk.  At least it's dry.

We are on day 1 of a house without Anastasia, and Xander is on day 2 of being sick puppy.

Bruce and Anastasia headed to UW today for round 1 of move in.  A week in the dorms while she figures out where she really wants to live.

Mixed emotions abound.  Excitement and sadness swirling together.

Fled work a little early today to watch Xander's home meet.

Between sets his coaches give him some pointers.

After two defeats in the past two meets, he won today.  In blazing heat.  With his friends and sister there to cheer him on.

Look who turned 19 today!

She pointed out on Facebook that her grandma (both grandma's, really) were married at/by age 19 and that her mom was engaged at 19.  Ha ha.

Anastasia turns 19 tomorrow.
She moves into the dorm for sorority rush week on Saturday.
Tonight I got to see a fashion show of her dresses.
She's got some cute clothes!

Sick puppy.  Wow, it's been awhile since I've felt this terrible. Took 6 hours to do an hour of work.  And only 2100 steps for the day.

Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day must mean reading.  I started my day with a book, finished a book midday, and caught Xander reading for his book club.

Anastasia's last weekend at home.  She requested some family time and we collectively came up with a plan for the afternoon.  Playing tennis and playing World of Warcraft.  We set up four computers in the computer room and had fun running around other realms.

First Saturday of the month, even on a holiday weekend, means Fist Saturday Ingress style!

We found ourselves on Mississippi Street in Portland, an area with plenty of food trucks.  New folks, folks we've known all year, and a fun time strategizing and fellowshiping.

I got to see chainsaw carving at work today.  Normally I enjoy watching but don't want to bring them home.  Today the two bears were absolutely adorable.  But I won a $25 gas gift card instead int he Relay for Life raffle.

More sky photos, as the weather can't make up its mind what it wants to do.  Works for me, I can still get out and walk but my garden soil is much softer to work and I don't need to water!
