I enjoy reading Seattle Business magazine.  I learn about local companies and local happenings.

I had no idea the Allrecipes.com is headquartered in Seattle.  Or that meatloaf is the most downloaded recipe in the US, at 200,000 times a month.

I’m not surprised that they are noticing a trend of people looking for less processed food, less meat, and more fruit and veggies.

Our recipe binder has Allrecipes in it.

The fun thing about walking around a city, especially with Ingress, is seeing little details.  This statue was adorable, had to pause.  It looks to me like a little girl holding a hammer, but it is officially called The Sculptor.  Also saw some fantastic local paintings at Pikes Place Market as the vendors set up for another day.

"This is my portal!" –Bruce

Possession is nine-tenths of the law is an expression meaning that ownership is easier to maintain if one has possession of something, or difficult to enforce if one does not.

This expression comes into play often with both our rentals and with Ingress.

The mission of our team, for five hours of the anomaly, was to keep this portal, a medallion on the ground in a park near Lake Union, blue and not let it go or stay green.  We had advance intelligence that it would be a pivotal portal, so we were able to beat them to it and literally camp out on it.

Hello Seattle!

Been looking forward to this weekend for a long time.

Two nights in the Dover apartments.  Shard anomoly.  Mission Day.

Our travels took us to Kerry Park on the top of Queen Anne after dark.  The view was a bit surreal.

Xander has a speech on high speed trains tomorrow.  He did a practice round with us.

This is a topic he has explored before.

Photographing him really pointed out how much he sways; lot's of nervous energy.

This morning I finished one Bible and got my new magnifying glass in the mail.  What a coincidence!

The past year and a half or so I've been reading a Tozier Bible finished Revelation today.  I bought a new Quest Bible I'm excited about starting, but I noticed that the type size was tiny.  So I ordered a magnifying sheet from China, with a long ship time.

Ready to start a quest!

There were rumors that hats and cups were coming with the merger.

Ta da!  Printed with the new vision statement.

Another chilly day.  Suns shining, but wind s blowing, and rain sneaks in...

A long day of driving, but was great to see the family.

We parked on the Longview side of the Cowlitz river today and walked over to downtown Kelso.

The sun is shining, but it is quite cold.

We had a different perspective from the bridge.

I normally water my plant on Monday nights.

This week has been so hectic that it didn't get a drink until Friday.

As I was watering, I sighted at how tranquil this scene looks.  It's Friday night, I get to go to bed with no alarm and ready my book until I nod off to sleep.  Bliss!

The zoo is closed, we were there for the portals.

Anomaly training.

Survivor relaunched tonight!

I have a million things I should be doing, but resting on the coach was nice too.

It seems like a lot of our staple shows are starting up a gain, so it's time to learn to relax or to multitask.

Survivor is our longest running show we've watched.  At small group tongiht we were even talking about how it displays more Christianity than many other shows.  As did Simpsons, another show shunned by conservatives.

My Ingress recruiting cards arrived today.  Something to hand out when people are wondering why we are a large of group of people glued to our phone screens...

We walk in Rainier a lot.  In the dark.

We hear sea lions barking, it sounds really loud.

Tonight we went to Rainier in the daylight, and were shocked to actually see the source of the ruckus.

Valentine's Day!

I had taken some nice photos of the Valentine's gifts lined up, but I like this one best, with Xander's section as just a blur of wrappings...

We walk Commerce all the time.  It;s funny how sometimes something will jump out and catch my attention int he store windows, even though we've walked by a million times.  This morning it was this owl.  He's fun!

Destination: Hotel Cathlamet.

We've been meaning to get to Cathlamet to do some Ingress missions, and when I heard about a chocolate fundraiser there, that sealed the deal.

Great way to kick off Valentine's weekend!

"So many things I love about our little town. Our local Women's Shelter holds an annual fund raiser -Royal Chocolate Extravaganza. Today's the day!! Tasty goodness for a good cause." - Sue Holmes, Facebook

My current favorite show, Fixer Upper.

I only watch it downstairs while I exercise.

Chip & Joanna Gaines in Texas show a couple three houses, they pick one to fix up.  They move walls and decorate it, they look so different afterwards.  And they are just a fun couple.

Shoes, shoes, shoes.

Bruce's new tennis shoes arrived today.  My two new shoes arrived earlier this week.  Trying out a new website with extra wide offerings.  My old tennies are starting to look old.

We'll see if these sleeker designs are as practical as my trusty chunky favorite shoes...

We see a lot of beer crawls in Portland.  I decided to set up a thrift store crawl in downtown Longview.  Because we have a lot of thrift stores!

Walking in the dark again.  At the lake.  With Bruce.  Pretty lights reflecting off the water.

Superbowl Sunday.

For me, that means time to myself to do things other than watch football.

This year I sat in the living room.  Worked on a scrapbook during game time, watched the half time show and ads between plays.

First Saturday!

Much better weather this month, leader Katie isn't even wearing shoes!, Bruce and I were able to walk over 4 miles during the two hour measurement window.

Good Ingress day overall - First Saturday, blew up Fort Vancouver twice, over 507K AP, gold glyph badge, 147 portal captures, 1068 resonators deployed.

Learned today that the First Saturdays in Portland have the most AP earned of all the worldwide events.

Gear is at all time low… time to rebuild for the big anomaly in three weeks!

Bruce and I were walking in downtown Castle Rock this evening, and this tree really caught our attention.  Pretty lights, strung really tightly to the limbs.

Another dark photo.  It's winter, so I find myself out in the dark a lot.  Hi Pomp and Sacajawea!

Baby, it's cold outside!

We still got outside to walk this evening though.

At the end of the walk I looked up and saw this stark wintery scenery.

Happy February!

Another fresh start to try the eating healthy route AGAIN.

We made a trip to Grocery Outlet, they have fun, unusual, and inexpensive foody food.  Bruce got Xander Poptarts, I tried to find some healthier options.
