My phone was working as part of the sound system for Grama's memorial, and we were busy for those few hours, so I didn't get any photos. It was a nice tribute, Grama would have approved.
Several people travelled far when they heard that Dad was quickly slipping away. We had the honor of spending the morning with Bruce's cousins from New York and Hawaii.
I was just leaving work when I got the text that Dad had passed away.
I would have loved to be down with the family, but being alone and baking cookies for Grama's memorial was theraputic too.
This weekend warrants some well deserved bereavement leave as my co-workers work on clearing defects.
Jewelry #2. Mom is wearing Dad's wedding ring around her neck. Xander is going to take his eagle necklace.
Jewelry #1. Jewelry has been a hot topic of late. Grama had jewelry for all the girls in her last wishes. I've been wearing my jewelry more this week. It's a testament to our personalities and memories.

I was rummaging through my mini craft box looking for my measuring tape when I saw my mini button jar. Reminds me of Grama.

Happy belated Father's Day to Bruce. We all headed to Capital Hill to throw some axes. The guys picked it up pretty quickly.
My happy place. Made it to another weekend, another chance to juggle work and home stuff. I just want to curl up with a book.
Heading across the street tonight for a show. Really enjoyed watching the taping of a podcast we love to listen to when we're roadtripping.

Happy Fathers Day. It was bittersweet this year, knowing it is probably the last Father's Day with Dad. We went to visit them, and still had time to enjoy our market with a quiet dinner at the Alibi Room.
We're on a mission today to see what kind of food we can get in big quantities for Grama's memorial. A trip to Costco!
Hammering Man seems appropriate for today and my hammering headache. Work is a good distraction but also another stress on top of family pain. And we jsut keep going through the motions...
Xander hung out with us today. He wanted to get up the Cove to visit "the elders". He chose an important day, saying goodbye to Grama Bunnie. 90 years alive, 76 years with Grampa, 47 years with me, 21 years with Xander. A life well lived.
Birds. We've been talking about the bird clock a lot lately. My co-workers hear it hwne I work at home, Anastasia wants it passed on to her, it's been in our lives for over 25 years in all out houses. It's the little things that make a place yours.

We finally got inside the Amazon spheres. The corpse flower was no longer in bloom, but it was a good opportunity to get a tour.
