When I started as an intern 25 years ago, Bruce Rhodes was my supervisor.  He taught me a lot and it is great to be working with him again on this last leg of his career.  Our leaders pointed out that he wasn't nearly old enough to retire, though, since he's a leap-year baby.

LAX.  Love this iconic mid century modern building.  Off  to visit Mom and Jerry for a few days. Wish I had flown to Long Beach airport, but nice to not have to get up at o'darl thirty for a flight.

My word for this year is NOURISH, intentional focus on supporting and encouraging the important things.  That feels a closely related to CONSERVE, protect from harm or destruction.  Could be the environment or could be people we love.

Good-bye Viaduct, hello tunnel!  Today was our 8K walk through the new tunnel and across the closed Viaduct before it gets torn down.  It was fun.  When we drive through tunnels I am always fascinated with all the signage on walking distance.  We got to see it up close and personal.
