Ingressing in Kalama.  Hanging out in the underpasses looking at murals, somewhere we would never normally go.

Each day getting a bit closer to level 16, the highest level.  I only need 9 million more points to get there!  Two and a half months, maybe less with all of Bruce's help to maximize my points.

Right now I'm choking on gear.  We can only hold 2,000 items at a time.  I'm hoarding low level gear for First Saturday next weekend.  And I'm hoarding high level gear for the big anomaly at the end of February in Seattle.  So, I have too much gear and not the right mix of items for everyday play.

First world problems.

I always always always forget to get photographs of my time on our adopted block.

Bruce was having fun with the Snapchat photo features today, so here is a fun one.  My what large eyes I have!

Soup jars packed, check.

Every time, I seem to mis-measure something and we have to go back to the store.  Check!

Every time, we wish we had a wide mouth funnel and we improvise something.  Check!

Fun and efficient helpers, check!

Here sits my poor neglected to do list.  I'm not getting any traction on my weekly to do's, much less extras I had hoped to get done in January!  Now it's going to be February!

I've tried not using a list,t hat didn't work.  I tried having a shorter list, that didn't work.  I guess this year I am trying out the concept of a neglected list!  And life just keeps rolling along...

Cleaning at the dentist today.

I am such a wimp, I hate the scraping and the air and the poking.  Glad there are no follow-ups, don't have to come back for another six months!

Check out my latest splurge.

I was shopping for necklaces on etsy and saw a kids nativity necklace.  I contacted the hsop owner, asking if she could put it on a longer "chain" and change the colors from pink to traditional Christmas colors.  She didn't even charge me extra!

Love etsy!

VACATION DAY!

We were wandering around eastern Portland today, playing Ingress.  The game takes us to the most unusual places.

This was a huge building, a pet hospital, of all things.  The building had a lot of animal themed features built into the architecture.  My favorite were these dog head downspouts.  Clever!

I wonder how many of these Seaman dog statues there are in the world.  We see them all long the Lewis & Clark trail.  This one was in Washougal, a cute little town to explore.

"Lewis & Clark didn't eat Seaman!" - Anastasia, in elementary school, when we first learned that they had a dog named Seaman.

A night at the theater...

We saw Flashdance.  Leg warmers, water splashing, welding sparks, all the high points.  Transported back to the 1980's for a few hours.

Made it to the weekend!

Drove down to Portland to rub shoulders with Ingress leaders.

At this very interesting rustic bar.

Was fun to hear the behind the scenes of anomaly planning.

Ran around this evening shopping for the layered soup event next weekend.  I was looking for a winter themed (not Christmas) fabric to use as the jar topper.  Found this shimmery textured "rain" looking print in the deep discount pile.  Because fabric is really super expensive!

Taco bar for the youth group.  Each of us in small group brought a few ingredients, we had plenty of time to chat, and enjoyed watching the kids build their own taco creations.

For all my indoor time yesterday, today brought outdoor time.  Got to jog outside int he morning.  Got to walk in the daylight and dryness before dinner.  And, walked in the rain downtown after dinner.  For the love of moving and the love of Ingress!

My laptop and I were good friends today on this cold and dreary day.

Shopping.
Worked on Ingress mission.
Memos to tenants.
Valley Happenings announcements for church.
Normal e-mails and updates.
Layered soup jar recipes.

We were walking downtown today, and I never noticed all the details at the historic Columbia Theater ticket book.  Stained glass ticket sign, art deco tiles, old fashioned light bulbs.

Here's a preview to graduation cards, fresh from the printers!  Found a killer deal on printing, so designed a few photo inserts and let Xander pick.  He wanted Alexander instead of Xander, boo hiss!

Nice that we didn't have to hire a photographer for either kid.  Grandpa Fischer took these photos.  The historic high school is such a great backdrop.

I cannot believe that I have been to the new Habitat for Humanity office three times now and did not notice this bright mural on the wall!

An artist with the last name Fischer painted it!

The script above says something about everyone deserves decent housing...

What will he do when he goes off to college and his dorm doesn't have a banister to dry his jeans on?!?

Winter wardrobe.  There are not enough thick clothes here to keep me warm today!  Dreaming of visiting a tropical place...

Starting a new Bible study this evening.  Here comes the homework, but here comes the nuggets of truth and fellowship too!

Clean scrapbook room!  Empty scrapbook room!

Been meaning to tear down my table for a deep clean for ages, finally got the clutter down to a dull roar.

Lazy Sunday with the Seahawks game!

To Astoria!

So many photos, but liked this one at a cool Chinese park.

Our first time to the city since we started Ingressing.  Enjoyed the day exploring all the portals, food, and over 9 miles of walking in truly warmer weather the city had to offer.

Back outdoors!

It has been so incredibly cold and slick that we haven't been waling together.

To celebrate the weekend and the better weather, we walked around Rainier.

OK, so it as still pretty cold!  But clear and pretty.

"Why do you like Bombas socks?" - Grandpa Fischer

It's hard to explain, but I sure do.  Bruce got this pair on Christmas, so they are obviously getting worm plenty.

They are thicker than most socks.
They stay up.
They have a honeycomb that hugs the foot at the arch.
Better seams.
They donate a pair for each pair purchased.
We love all things Shark Tank.

New purse!  I thought it was lost, but finally found it in the bags of Christmas cheer.

I still miss the old one, but love the buckles on this one.

Pink Lemonade, Pomegranate, or Super Orange?

Love my Emergen-C habit, but especially when I feel a little yucky.  Like tonight.

A BiggerPockets kind of day...

They added a cool preview to the forum threads so it is easier to tell if my key words are really on target or not, which will save me time.

Brandon's two latest books arrived today.

And I'm exploring getting a google voice account!

Productive Monday!

Its snowing, so see ya!  Anastasia was heading home with Fischers this morning anyway, but the falling snow sent them scurrying off.  Time to settle back into a routine, but maybe school will be cancelled or delayed tomorrow...

First Saturday!

Ten people came from our Cowlitz group, five of them Fischers - Xander, Bruce & I, and Bruce Sr and Renee.

The big fluffy sheepdog was my favorite Ingresser of the day though.

FREEZING cold weather, but still really fun.

And so starts another year!  When I started this blog eight years ago, I had no idea it would have such a legacy.  It's my motivation to take photos.  It is our historical record.  Sometimes it is a burden, but mostly it is a joy.

Today we struggled to get a game plan going, but ended up having lunch, coffee break, and dinner together as a family.  Love long lazy days, it's been the first in a long time, no complaints here.

Happy New Years!
