A bunch of people warned us about downtown Portland. We saw a lot of tents, but otherwise it was
so much nicer in PDX than in Seattle.
Less plywood. Less empty
retail. Less homeless in obvious
trauma. We never got asked for
money. Makes Seattle seem a lot more depressing.
