Little adventure this afternoon. Took off work an hour early, took the commuter bus to Kirlkland to meet Bruce, and we headed to Evan Creek Preserve. I was on the hunt for lupine, just for fun, and we found some. Nice place to walk and soak up some sunshine.

This poor heap of bikes. They had flashing lights and sound emitting, as if they were calling out for help. Wearing themselves out for no apparent reason. I can relate, bikes, I can relate!

Ooh la la, fancy food for the fancy party on the roof at Weyerhaeuser. Summer bubbles and bites, with 2 bars, kombucha, nice food, a gelato park, a terrarium craft project, and two caricature artists. And sunshine!

My only leftovers in the freezer now are fish. So it is time to generate more office-friendly leftovers. Soy peanut stir fry fits the bill.

Freedom day. Wish we were farther and faster on our equality journey, but thankful for what progress we have made and for the rich history of this crazy republic.

We headed to Fremont for the Soltace Parade, but ended up at Gas Works Park to see the start of the Naked Bike Ride. 95% of these riders are naked, many with body paint. And this was only about half of the participants. Odd tradition.

Friday night on the top of Smith Tower with Joan. She had a flight of Old Fashioneds, I had the One Love, made with vodka, lemon, creme de framboise, simple, and curacao foam. Yum!

Headed up to Capital Hill for my hair appointment. Arrived a bit early so I was walking in the neighborhood and spied the rainbow shelves for Pride Month at the library. Fun!

We walk these city streets so often. We don't notice all the jewels. But when we pay attention, there are fun details everywhere.

The routines of daily life. Morning walk in the city. The window cling murals are expanding, I really enjoy them.

A resident in a condo across from us seems to be communicating in Post-It notes in the window. First was "hi".

The big rain storm has arrived, but it is not as bad as I was expecting. Boy people are complaining about our wet June so far! I prefer walkable weather, but didn't care for last years heat wave either.

More found art on my morning commute. I always notice this guy and think it's funny that he's sticking out his tongue.

More Pioneer Square architecture. Sandstone was cheap and easy to make more ornate when Seattle was rebuilding after the fire.
