Spring cleaning at Cedar and Spokes for Serve Day at Coastline church today.  Bruce and I replaced all the felt pads on the tables and living room style furniture.

This is Citizen M hotel on Westlake.

We have walked by it a million times, but today we got to tour the lobby as part of our architectural tour of South Lake Union.

Each window is a tiny hotel room, and each room is a module in modular construction.  The lobby is very unique, a fun place to hang out, especially if you are a Millenial.

I'm really enjoying my new necklace that we got in Mexico.  The gem is diaspore, it is color changing.  It is most often this brownish champagne color, but sometimes I get glimpses of green or purple.

I didn't feel like doing much on this holiday, so coloring my baby Yoda planter was a fun diversion.

I finally got to hold almost six month Lincoln today and she took her nap on my shoulder.  We had enough ushers at least.

We saw the kids for lunch today, but no photos.  This was a pink milk drink that sounded fun at the at a new yummy Thai place we found on Capital Hill for dinner.

Dinner out with Joan!  We enjoyed sitting at the bar at Ben Paris.  Creative twists on familiar foods is their jam.  We both loved the crispy brussel sprouts with a honey glaze.

My drink came with local botanicals from the market.  Which meant fresh herbs.

We have Christmas inside and Valentine's day outside.  At leaset we'll have it down before Easter!

Jacob and I visited SAM and El Baracho tonight.  We had a lot of fun talking about the artwork - the cotnent, the colors, how we think the artist did it, and even making fun of some of it.  It's fun to have a son-in-law who fits in to the family so well and that we can lean into our interests.

If this isn't all inclusive resort life, not sure what is!  Quiet mornings on the deck, drinking our weight in orange juice and cranberry juice.  Bruce loved to smother everything in Nutella, I enjoyed a little bit of fruit, potatoes, eggs, toast, and overnight oats.

Time to sail!  Bruce took catamaran lessons yesterday, today we sail solo.  The water was pretty rough, but it was fun.

Today was a snorkeling day.  The weather wasn't fabulous, which kept crowds down and we had a great time exploring the Cenotes and swimming with the turtles in the bay.

This isn't the most flattering photo, but I like it.  There's our resort bikes, Mercedes our activity director, and the lush local Playacar Mayan ruins.  A private one hour guided bike tour was a fabulous way to start our vacation.

We made it to our resort in Mexico!

Early morning light rail to the airport for a direct almost 6 hour flight to Cancun, then fighting the flooded highways to Playa del Carmen.  Nice room with a balcony, warm weather, beach looks promising even in the dark.

The stewardess seemed upset that I didn't take advantage of my free alcoholic beverage from business class.

And Christmas finally happened!  I failed photographing, but it was fun to watch Jacob try to get into this man crate of BBQ goodies.  Great relaxing day to hang with the family.

Back in the office today.  Omicron variant is receding.  All alone on the fourth floor.  It was great to grab a coffee with LeeNell though.

We had a moment of silence for Chad at our Finance Town Hall today.  Every day gets a little easier, but it still feels crazy to have him be everywhere and yet nowhere.

I decided to break things up with a continuing education program about budgeting and forecasting.

Wish it was more relevant, but it is a good distraction.
