Glad we had Monday off so that we coudl enjoy the last soccer match in Seattle.  The game itself was not very fun, but the march ot the match was pretty epic.

We went to the Pt Defiance Zoo this morning.  Look at how big that fish is!  Poppy said "whoa" a lot today.  Monkeys, tiger, rays, and a whole lot of fish!

Most of the fam went to a Mariners Game tonight.  I watched Poppy.  We had a lot of fun.

We hosted a game night for small group tonight,  With snacks.  I saw a recipe on Pinterest that elevated a childhoold "cookie" of graham crackers and vanilla frosting.  They were a big hit.

We took Poppy to Soccer House at Pacific Place.  The game was delayed for thunder but she had a blast.

The other kids were there in Mexico socer jerseys, but she was there in pink tulle.  That is how she rolls...

The front of the parade is great for swag.  A cute toddler is even better for swag.  Poppy racked up a ton of Pride themed items.

Started Poppy's first sleep over with a trip to the Aquarium.  She really enjoys the kids play area and wanted to hug the otter.

World Cup energy tonight with a game in town.  We scored an outdoor seat at Cafe Umbria for awhile to see the outdoor screen and loads of people watching.

The city felt different today.  With a noon World Cup game, the city was already awake and full of energy for my morning commute.  Third Avenue even had Jesus loves You on the sidewalk.

A tour of our local parks with Poppy girl.  The first bubble machine stop was the best, but she loved the seaplane art at this one.  She doens't like the orange chairs nearly as much as Grandma!

Poppy girl is waving at airplanes, and there are a lot of them.  Fun at a new to us park.  I like the dandelion statues behind her, my reminder for my 2026 word, whimsy.  Playful, spontaneous, childlike wonder,.... explains our outing wonderfully!

Tried out my meditation candles for the first time this week.  The idea is a candle that burns for 10 mintues while you meditate or pray or hold solitude.

I worried about setting off the smoke alarms but enjoyed the calm of the flame a lot.

This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine!

One of my prayers on repeat:

Let people recognize my faith, let me be a connecting point, let my character reflect godly values.  I am a light of the world, don't hide it.

Our last trip up to the top of the Space Needle for awhile, which has become an almost weekly routine.  Poppy was determined to careen around/through the growing crowds but not post for a photo Grandpa really wanted.  Persistence pays off though.
