The numbers look better, but the sky sure looks more ominous.  The sepia hue is here.

Darn it, we cancelled our plans with the kids for Anastasia’s birthday.

The sky is getting murkier.  The Great Wheel is visible, but not much further.

I feel sad today that America rallied so much at the loss of 2,977 lives on 9/11 but seems very nonchalant about the loss of 200k lives due to COVID.

What I love about urban hiking is that you can stop at 7-Eleven for a cold drink.  Or jog over a block to dine at a neighborhood cafe.  The fitbit says I walked 14.5 miles today, Bruce says it was 13 miles by Google.  Regardless, it was a long but pleasant walk from Southcenter along Lake Washington to Leschi.  Then we were in familiar territory and we caught a bus home.

Our labor day adventure, an urban hike.  We took the Link to Angle Lake then walked to our nice hotel in Southcenter. We walked about 8 miles, mostly along Green River Trail.

09-02-20

This week I listened to a One Day University lecture on creativity.  One thing they encouraged was a walk to notice new things in the ordinary.  OK, so I've been walking by this building a lot on my morning walks.  I didn't really notice all the dead plants on the wall before.  Too much sun this summer?  Not enough workers with Covid?  General lethargy?
