Another protest. This one was a little different though. It was a #RedAlert event with theater workers. All in black, quietly pushing their equipment. First to be shut down, last to come back, feeling plenty of stress and hardship.

The Pike Place Market has reopened in a big way this weekend. Street dining. Long lines at favorite haunts. Artists back. And the patio is open, so we got to pose with (a crooked) Viktoria in the background.

I love this mural art we found in Pioneer Square. Sloth is my theme for this year, and it feels oh so appropriate!

Out of the open winows comes a glass bottle right as we were walking below. Yep, downtown is fun these days...

Too hot to walk with Mom last night, but tonight I found myself at our normal meeting spot. What a lovely evening.

Today, many more miles. We walked from Bothell to the UW Stadium Link station. On an unusually warm day. It was fun, looking forward to Spain.

We went on an impulsive adventure this weekend. In the late afternoon we caught a bus to Lake City, got off at 145th and found the Burke-Gillman Trail and walked to the 5-ish miles to Bothell. We made it to McMinnamins Anderson School for dinner, a drink, and an inviting bed. More fun tomorrow!

It's been a cabbage kind of week. Good thing I really like coleslaw! Tacos that need a fork are my favorite!

Look really close... see the white speck under the bridge? It's a swan! In the 90's we saw swans in Lake Washington a lot, was really fun to see one on Lake Union while walking with Mom.

Moore isn't my favorite tasting coffee, but thrilled to see the critters back, and the location is certainly convenient.

I was trying with no luck to screen shot this infographic I found in some internal training materials. Weyerhaeuser's Wood Product group takes logs, saws them into rough green lumber (nd gets chips as a byproduct), puts them in the kiln to make dry lumber, then finishes the boards into surfaced lumber. Taking horizontal timber to vertical logs seems simpler.
