I like to see how big I can get my stack of used tissues, but Bruce likes to follow me around and throw them away.

Molly played Santa at Fischer's this year.  The kiddos enjoyed the animals we adopted for them at Pt Defiance Zoo.

The good, the bad, and the ugly today.

I took a photo at the accident scene, but I won't post that.  Our lives were disrupted for an hour, we watched two lives get disrupted forever.

We turned around, took this photo int he fog, had breakfast at Berry Patch, and enjoyed our Christmas Eve in Longview instead of Seaside.

We drew names and did our stocking shopping today,  For something different, we shopped at Prospector Liquidators.  We got tons of great finds for dirt cheap!

Family activity to build a gingerbread cafe... it takes a team to stretch icing, build doors and windows, make gumdrops look like poinsettias (not!), and decide where the little red cups belong.  I think it's hilarious that they make the logo signage edible, as if anyone would eat any of this creation!

What a yo-yo of a day, all thanks to this weather!

I was supposed to be in Vancouver for a big meeting.  Decided not to go, at least initially, settled into this view and working at home.  Then we decided Bruce would drive me down to the meeting.  Then my boss decided to move the second part of the meeting to Longview, so back on the road...

It's sure pretty even though it screws up plans!

Well, Eugene, technically.  Our quest to find indoor activities with the cruddy weather led us to The Book of Esther, a rock gospel ballet that was really fun.

And we explored campus, already dead for winter break.

Christmas, Christmas, everywhere!

We went up to Grama & Grampa's, hauled their Christmas boxes out of storage, and decorated their condo for the holidays today.

Love their pink and crystal tree.

Seventy five stockings.  Filled and tied to the circular banister, with name tags.  In one hour.

That was our task with the other parents Saturday afternoon.

We brought gourmet cocoa.  Others brought gum, granola bars, homemade brownies, candy (candy, and more candy), toys, pepperoni, toothbrushes, socks, lottery tickets.

Hope it makes finals week a little brighter boys!

My last day of vacation... a Pokemon day as we meandered back to Longview.  Chased Pokemon and got plenty of steps in Puyallup, Fife, Tacoma, Olympia, Centralia.  Thankful for the sunshine!

Happy Thanksgiving take 2!

It's become a tradition to meet up Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend with the Fischers for a second turkey dinner.  We had to take the kids back to UW, so we extended it another year.

Out old one, which we bought down the street at a garage sale on a whim, went kaput.

Used OfferUp to find a new one locally, maybe I can get back to 12,000 steps a day consistently!

Spend the morning packing, organizing, and delivering Thanksgiving food baskets in the Highlands.  We did 150 boxes this year.  Will be fun to see the newspaper tomorrow morning, we should be in it!

I miss getting "I voted" stickers now that it is all absentee voting.  But I got a sticker for delivering shoeboxes tonight.  At least 35 of them were from our basement.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Feeling pretty good about my shopping progress this year, no stressing over items arriving in time this year!  It's so fun to open the packages!  The wrapping seems daunting...

Almond Roca makes me thing of Christmas.  And my Grampa.  Don't tell anybody that I've been sneaking into the tin; hope there is still some to give away as I had intended!  I want to visit the Brown & Haley store in Tacoma sometime...

Our church has three campuses.

It struck me today that I regularly go to all three sites.  My Monday night women's group is at Pacific Way.  My Wednesday small group is at the Heights.  And we usually worship Saturday nights at the electric Bean.

The quest for cranberry sauce is over!

I decided that I wanted to donate cranberry sauce to the food banks this yer.  Except Costco doesn't have cranberry sauce.

But Wal-mart does!
