We're expecting a baby soon, and Anastasia is expecting pinwheels after she gives birth. She's been abstaining from lunchmeat.

Since I still have many months of Invisalign to go, and it takes a lot of extra bathroom supplies, I got some new storage containers.

I fall prey to Facebook marketing.
t's so targetted. It's so expensive. I'm usually so disappointing.
But I keep buying.
Loving the scent of lemon custard in this bath gel. Only downside is I start my days wanting a lemon powered donut.

Heavy housework before heading into Sabbath. Some weeks I do a little each day, some weeks I do it all on Sunday, this week I am doing most of it tonight so I can truly coast through the weekend.

We did a double batch of tater tot casserole, a double batch
of turkey chili. Potato chowder. Ranch chicken. Beef stroganoff, Bolognese, and
chicken cacciatore.

Craft cocktails that are non alchololic are becoming a thing, and some tout health benefits. I’ve been enjoying the coconut pineapple painkiller drink,
trying to figure out if it helps me sleep deeper or not. This month I decided to add on the pomegranate
negroni. It had an interesting kick, I
finally realized it is fennel.

Wednesday is normally church night, but this week is still an off week. Weird but nice to not have any evening plans. This little tote was a gift from Vanessa to tote our bibles in. Love it.

Back to the office for the week, back to wearing lanyards. My lanyard broke and I've been trying to find a new one I like. I feel like Golidlocks - too loud, too flimsy, too... determined to keep trying.

I decided to watch a movie tonight while Bruce was busy.
I intened to watch a movie about beekeeping in Macedania (Honeyland) that Bruce would hate, but accidently watched a justice seeking action movie (The Beekeeper) that Bruce would have enjoyed instead.
Oops!

I love google timeline, I look forward to the updates each month. One of these years I will have more walking miles than vehicle miles, I will!
2024 averaged about an hour a day on foot, that sounds about right.

For the past two years I have tried to read all the physical books I have to get them off my shelves. I'm going to keep focusing on Kindle, but need to realize that book form books will always be here waiting for me to read. Becuase they come from all avenues... pastor, stocking, Mom, sister, SAL author events.
Starting books on shelf: 12
Starting books owned: 110 (thanks to free books and low price deals)
Starting books TBR: 314 (and ALWAYS growing)
Average books read per year: 50
Books read in 2024: 60, close to evenly split Fiction vs Non-Fiction
Goal for 2025: 52, I'd like to watch more movies too.

New year, new focus word, new necklace!
My word this year is NEW.
New dawn, new beginnings, new celebrations. Seen, experienced,
introduced, or discovered recently. What
says NEW more than a sunrise and a field of poppies for our first grandchild?
WORK: I plan to sustain and build on improved sleep,
stress, and energy. I’m realizing just how
much my sleep and stress impact my overall health. And, I truly need to find a new job at
Weyerhaeuser, since this current one has an August sunset date…
HOME: Every
year I want to eat less and move more.
This year I want to experience more health in a new, less judgmental and
loathing way. I want to slow down and
savor life. I want to explore and take
in new things, as Bruce and I love to do.
And figure out how to make time for establishing stronger friendships
and new rhythms.
FAMILY: I can’t
wait to help with and love on little Poppy, on track to arrive in February!
Let us be quiet
and in awe of life,
the moment-by-moment gift that it is;
every breath, every meal,
every sunrise, and every evening,
lovingly offered in generous
love, by God.
